The Winters' Cats

Blackie at Easter Blackie - about 16 years old

Blackie joined our household in
Feb. 1999 when I found him under
a car at work in Lake Mary and
brought him home.  He has some
Siamese in him, so he is quite vocal
when he wants attention.  He
is very affectionate and is always
looking for attention.  He weighs
almost 17 lbs so he is a big, long
cat.  He likes to play with and
groom Princess.  Morris will
sometimes chase him around the
house, but playfully, as they get
along surprisingly well.

Morris - about 16 years old

Morris joined our household in
Dec. 2000 when he started hanging
around the house and eating out of
our other outdoor/indoor cats'
food bowl. He had a lot of medical
problems initially like ear mites and
corneal ulcers. He gets along
fairly good with Blackie, but he
still hassles Princess at times.
Morris became an indoor only
cat during fall of 2003 when
he came down with serious
mycobacterium infections from fights.
He then developed a spraying problem
and is now on Prozac. He can
be very affectionate but doesn't
like to be picked up.

Princess - about 16 years old

Princess joined our household during
Aug. 2000 when I saw her roaming the
neighborhood and found out she had
been declawed. She and Blackie became
very close friends quickly. She is also
very affectionate and likes to "plop" down
in front of you. She can't stand Morris and
hisses/swats at him whenever he comes near
her. Sometimes when he hassles her,
it triggers a wheezing in her.

Bella - about 3 years old

Bella joined our household in March 2012 when
we saw her walking along on the top of our back
fence.  She seemed friendly and was also very
hungry.  We kept her separated from our other cats
for a couple of weeks on the screened patio until the
other cats seemed to accept her.  She gets along best
with Blackie and Morris.  In fact she and Morris play
together quite frequently, chasing each other around.
